23. The Sanskrit witness consulted for this translation preserves the alternate reading punar evāgatya bhagavantaṃ triḥ pradakṣiṇīkṛtya bhaga vataḥ mukhadvārṃ praviṣṭā (“three rays returned [and] circumambulated the Blessed One”).
