12. In the context of Śakra seeking victory in battle, this translation reads kun nas ldang ba as rendering the Sanskrit paryutthāna, for which the Buddhist Hybrid Sanskrit dictionary has, in part, “…rising all about, overwhelming, possession (always by depravities or vices).”
