sattvas do not practice the bodhisattva conduct?"
The Blessed One said: "Ānanda, those world realms that I have spoken of in which Buddha Blessed Ones appear and bodhisattvas also practice the bodhisattva conduct are, Ānanda, like the rarity of grains of gold among the sands of the great ocean and the sands of the river Gaṅgā. Ānanda, just so, those world realms in which Buddha Blessed Ones appear and bodhisattvas also practice the bodhisattva conduct are rare. Ānanda, just as if someone were to take a single grain of sand from the sands of the great ocean and the sands of the river Gaṅgā, in that same way, those world realms where Buddha Blessed Ones appear and bodhisattvas also practice the bodhisattva conduct are few."
When the Blessed One had spoken thus, the Venerable Ānanda, those monks, those bodhisattvas, and the world with its gods, humans, asuras, and gandharvas rejoiced and praised what the Blessed One had spoken.
The Noble Mahāyāna Sūtra 'Like the Sands of Gold' is complete.
Translated, edited, and finalised by the Indian preceptors Surendrabodhi and Prajñāvarma, and the chief editor-translator, the monk Ye-shes-sde, and others.
