108. The Sanskrit has “hearing this true Dharma one will/shall (optative) have confidence in it” (saṃśrutya saddharmaṃ śraddadhyād). Taishō 310 has “the roots of virtue that are born by hearing this Dharma presentation” (聞是經典所生善根).
