爾時，無盡意菩薩即從座起，偏袒右肩，合掌向佛而作是言：「世尊！觀世音菩薩以何因緣名觀世音？」
At that time, Akṣayamati Bodhisattva arose from his seat, bared his right shoulder, joined his palms toward the Buddha, and said: "Bhagavat! For what reason is Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva named Avalokiteśvara?"
