After these bodhisattvas had emerged from the earth, each went to the wondrous tower of seven treasures in the air, to the place of Prabhūtaratna Tathāgata and Śākyamuni Buddha. Having arrived, they bowed their heads to the feet of the two Bhagavats, and also made homage at the places of the buddhas seated on the lion thrones beneath the jeweled trees, circumambulating them three times to the right, joining their palms in reverence, and praising them with various methods of praise used by bodhisattvas; then they stood to one side, delighting in looking up at the two Bhagavats. From the time these bodhisattva mahāsattvas first surged forth and praised the buddhas with various methods of praise used by bodhisattvas, a period of fifty minor kalpas elapsed. During this time, Śākyamuni Buddha sat in silence, and the four assemblies were also all silent for fifty minor kalpas; through the Buddha's spiritual power, he caused the great assembly to perceive it as though it were half a day.
