'At that time, King Śubhavyūha, having praised such immeasurable hundreds of thousands of myriads of koṭis of merits of the Buddha, single-mindedly joined his palms before the Tathāgata and said to the Buddha again: "Bhagavat! It is unprecedented. The Dharma of the Tathāgata is fully endowed with inconceivable, wondrous merits; the practice of his admonitions brings peace and supreme goodness. From this day forward, I will no longer follow the impulses of my own mind, and will not give rise to wrong views, arrogance, anger, or any evil thoughts." Having spoken these words, he paid homage to the Buddha and departed.'
