14. Upatiṣya (Tib. nye rgyal) is another name for Śāriputra, and Kolita (Tib. pang nas skyes) for Maudgalyāyana. They were the Buddha’s “supreme” pair of students: Upatiṣya in terms of knowledge, Kolita in terms of magical power.
