...the second. The King of Sūtras, the Sublime Golden Light. [Bampo 7] Then the Blessed One said to the venerable Śāriputra: 'Śāriputra, there is a teaching called the dhāraṇī of non-attachment. It is a doctrine to be accomplished by bodhisattvas, embraced by past bodhisattvas, and is the mother of bodhisattvas.' When he said this, the venerable Śāriputra said to the Blessed One: 'Blessed One, what are the words and meaning of what is called "dhāraṇī"? Blessed One, what is called dhāraṇī has neither direction nor location, nor is it without direction and location.' When he spoke thus, the Blessed One addressed the venerable Śāriputra: 'Śāriputra, because you are deeply devoted to the Mahāyāna, have great confidence in the Mahāyāna, and hold the Mahāyāna in high esteem...'
