mānuṣyaṃ durlabhaṃ loke buddhotpādo 'tidurlabhaḥ /
tato 'pi śraddhāpravrajyāpratipattiḥ sudurlabhā //
Human existence is rare in the world, the appearance of a Buddha is extremely rare; / Even more than that, practice based on faith and renunciation is exceedingly rare.
