'The hundreds of sufferings of cyclic existence' means the hundreds—the limitless masses—of sufferings of the destinies such as the hells, which are experienced as painful; by those wishing to cross over them, wishing to cast them off, namely those of the hearer and solitary realizer lineages. Not only one's own: 'wishing to dispel', wishing to remove even the sufferings of birth and so forth belonging to the world, namely those of the bodhisattva lineage. Not only wishing to dispel one's own and others' suffering, but also: 'many pleasures'—pleasures themselves—'hundreds' of them to be obtained in rebirths among gods and humans; by those wishing to experience them, even those longing for the pleasures of cyclic existence. 'At all times', continuously, the awakening mind is 'not to be released', not to be abandoned; it should be adopted, is the meaning. Alternatively, these are qualifiers only of those who desire full awakening.
