sahasā + eva ca taṃ dṛṣṭvā sad-dharma-pratibādhakaṃ | dūrato maitram eṣyāmo mā no ruṣyeta eva hi ||

And seeing all at once an obstructor of the true Dharma, / we shall approach him with friendliness from afar, lest he become angry with us.
