The release from these is stated in this very sūtra: “If those bodhisattvas, having heard the name of the bodhisattva Ākāśagarbha, should wish to behold him, desiring to confess their root downfalls out of fear of falling into bad migrations; if they should bow to the bodhisattva Ākāśagarbha and proclaim his name, that noble son stands before them according to their fortune in his own form, [or] he will stand before them in the form of a brāhmaṇa, up to the form of a young maiden. He reveals those downfalls to that beginner bodhisattva just as they arose, reveals to him profound skill in means and the practice in the Mahāyāna, and establishes him on the irreversible ground,” and so forth.
