Crushing every limb, they burn them, and the soles of his feet are pierced with spikes. Likewise on Mount Makkoṭaka: he is devoured down to the ultimate particles, inside and out, by species of Makkoṭaka creatures. Eaten and eaten again, he is reborn even more tender. By being so tender, he experiences even more intense sensation. As he is eaten again and again, even more skin and flesh appear on him. That is the fruit for him of having committed and accumulated the taking of life.
