171. Strictly speaking, this should read, “I’m a person labeled a paṇḍaka,” but the context makes clear that of the five types of person labeled a paṇḍaka described below, he is an intersex person (Tib. skyes nas ma ning, Skt. jātyāpaṇḍaka) and so the phrase has been translated here accordingly.
