爾時善財童子從天宮下，向迦毘羅城，至善知眾藝童子所，頭頂禮敬於一面立，白言：「聖者！我已發阿耨多羅三藐三菩提心，而未知菩薩云何學菩薩行？云何修菩薩道？我聞聖者善能教誨，願為我說。」時彼童子告善財言：「善男子！我得菩薩解脫，名善知眾藝。我恒稱持入此解脫根本之字。

At that time, the youth Sudhana descended from the celestial palace and went toward the city of Kapilavastu, arriving at the dwelling of the youth Śilpābhijña. He bowed his head at [the youth's] feet in reverence, stood to one side, and said, "Noble one! I have already generated the mind set upon supreme and perfect awakening (anuttarasamyaksaṃbodhi), but I do not yet know how a bodhisattva studies the bodhisattva practice, nor how one cultivates the bodhisattva path. I have heard that the noble one is skilled in teaching; may you please explain it to me." Then the youth said to Sudhana, "Good son! I have attained the bodhisattva liberation called 'Skilled in All Arts and Sciences'. I constantly recite and hold the fundamental letters that enter into this liberation.
