爾時大日薄伽梵言：「未來世眾生早欲成就悉地，先從阿闍梨以應受梵字。雖行餘法不知此法悉地難成就。所以者何？是三世諸佛肝心也，是釋迦牟尼如來二瞳、一切聖人之命、多聞王福德藏、一切眾生依報。若有眾生不知三世諸佛肝心，而何得成佛道？若有眾生閉釋迦之瞳，何可被釋迦護？若有眾生殺一切聖人之命、滅福德藏、閉諸尊瞳，當何得出地獄？若何得福德？何得智惠之因？早欲成就世間出世間願者，當受持梵本真言梵字，是三世佛肝心故。令受持一切眾生，是三種梵本真言，三合二十八字。行者當得梵本意。偈曰：

At that time, the Bhagavat Mahāvairocana said: "If sentient beings in future ages wish to swiftly accomplish siddhi, they must first receive the Sanskrit syllables from an ācārya. Even if one practices other dharmas, without knowing this dharma, siddhi is difficult to accomplish. Why is this? It is the heart-core of all Buddhas of the three periods; it is the two pupils of the Tathāgata Śākyamuni, the life of all holy beings, the treasury of fortune and virtue of King Vaiśravaṇa, and the circumstantial retribution of all sentient beings. If there are sentient beings who do not know the heart-core of all Buddhas of the three periods, how can they accomplish the Buddha path? If there are sentient beings who close Śākyamuni's pupils, how could they be protected by Śākyamuni? If there are sentient beings who slay the life of all holy beings, destroy the treasury of fortune and virtue, and close the pupils of all the venerable ones, how could they escape the hells? How could they obtain fortune and virtue? How could they obtain the causes of wisdom? Those who wish to swiftly accomplish worldly and supramundane vows should receive and uphold the Sanskrit syllables of the Sanskrit fundamental mantras, because they are the heart-core of the Buddhas of the three periods. Sentient beings are to be made to receive and uphold these three kinds of Sanskrit fundamental mantras, which combine into twenty-eight syllables. The practitioner must understand the meaning of the Sanskrit text. A verse says:
