「次結治路印，左右手內縛，地水二指叉臥，二火頭合立直，二風左右直伏，右火末左以空著，左火末右以空著，先印五所，次壇中放於。真言曰：

"Next, form the Mudrā for Preparing the Path. Make an inner-bound fist with both hands, with the earth and water fingers interlaced and lying flat. Stand the two fire fingers straight with their tips joined. Lay the two wind fingers flat to the left and right. Touch the tip of the right fire finger to the left with the thumb, and touch the tip of the left fire finger to the right with the thumb.
