1.86

「魔勤於此經，當欲壞滅之，
是故此經典，調御今為說。
令魔悉迷亂，叢聚坐顫慄，
相視不能言。此惡行果報，
恐怖眾生故，常懷作惡心，
顛倒而墮落，是故得現報。」

"The demons strive against this sūtra,
wishing to destroy and extinguish it;
Therefore this scripture
is now proclaimed by the Tamer.
Causing all demons to fall into confusion,
to huddle together in their seats and tremble,
Looking at one another, unable to speak.
Such is the retribution of evil deeds:
Because they terrorized sentient beings
and constantly harbored malicious intent,
They fall down tumbling in confusion,
and thus receive their present retribution."
