1.72

This spell can cause the minds of sentient beings to attain liberation, extinguish the diseases of the three poisons, avert sins that obstruct the Way, completely crush enemies and bandits from other realms, and dispel all enemies, bandits, and robbers within one's territory. If one travels through the wilderness, wild beasts and venomous insects, upon hearing this great dhāraṇī spell, will have their mouths shut and be unable to do harm. This dhāraṇī spell was spoken by past Buddhas numbering forty hundred million; I speak it now. For anyone who cultivates this dhāraṇī, the resulting fruit will not be in vain, hence I have now spoken it briefly.
