我念過去世，生於閻浮提，
豪富得自在，諂曲不端直；
今雖作鬼王，猶受鬼神苦。

"I remember in a past life,
I was born in Jambudvīpa,
Wealthy, powerful, and independent,
Yet flippant, devious, and not upright;
Though I am now a ghost king,
I still suffer the pain of ghosts and spirits."
