爾時阿逸多菩薩從坐起，正衣服偏袒，合掌前白佛：「世尊！我今亦欲說陀羅尼句饒益眾生，令得善利色力名譽。」即說呪曰：
At that time the Bodhisattva Ajita arose from his seat, straightened his robes, bared his right shoulder, joined his palms, came forward, and addressed the Buddha: 'World-Honoured One! I too now wish to speak dhāraṇī-phrases to benefit sentient beings and cause them to obtain good benefit, complexion, strength, and renown.' He then spoke the mantra, saying:
