爾時文殊師利法王子從坐起，正衣服偏袒右肩，合掌叉手白佛言：「世尊！我今亦欲說陀羅尼句，用饒益眾生，令獲善利色力名譽。」即說呪曰：
At that time the Dharma Prince Mañjuśrī arose from his seat, straightened his robes, bared his right shoulder, joined his palms, and addressed the Buddha, saying: 'World-Honoured One! I too now wish to speak dhāraṇī-phrases to benefit sentient beings and cause them to obtain good benefit, complexion, strength, and renown.' He then spoke the mantra, saying:
