爾時釋迦牟尼佛告諸比丘：「我今亦當說陀羅尼句，用饒益眾生，令獲善利色力名譽。」即說呪曰：
At that time Śākyamuni Buddha addressed the monks: 'I too should now speak dhāraṇī-phrases to benefit sentient beings and cause them to obtain good benefit, complexion, strength, and renown.' He then spoke the mantra, saying:
