行此持法，要用白月十五日淨住夜，於佛像前燃二蘇燈，供養如來及天王，誠心誦此陀羅尼一百八遍，所求從心無願不果，天王亦自來語人善惡。一法晨朝清淨已誦三遍，暮夜時亦誦三遍，遮一切惡。

In practicing this dhāraṇī ritual, one must use the night of the fifteenth day of the bright half of the month (śuklapakṣa) while dwelling in purity. Before a buddha image, light two ghee lamps, make offerings to the Tathāgata and the Heavenly King, and recite this dhāraṇī one hundred and eight times with a sincere heart; whatever is sought will accord with one's wishes, with no aspiration unfulfilled, and the Heavenly King himself will also come to speak to the person about good and evil. According to another method, having purified oneself in the early morning, recite it three times, and at nightfall also recite it three times; this will avert all evil.
