6.50

佛言：「尊者比丘，憐愍十方五道中人，施立福田真人法器，覆則似天仰則似海，福度眾生，用一切入律大神守護，當令鬼神不得犯近。若投鉢無多無少、無好無醜、無麁無細、發意喜怒，以入鉢器中輒成大福，即閉三塗之徑、開三脫之門。施者得福、受者安隱。其食此食戒具福全、當令此食變成法藥、一切蒙度。」

The Buddha said: "Venerable monk, having pity on people in the five paths of the ten directions, has established a field of merit and this Dharma vessel of a true person. Turned over it resembles heaven; facing up it resembles the sea. Benefiting and liberating sentient beings, guarded by all the great deities who enter the vinaya, ghosts and spirits must not violate or approach it. When food is cast into the bowl, be it much or little, fine or coarse, thick or fine, given with a mind of joy or anger, once it enters the bowl vessel it immediately becomes great merit, immediately closing the paths of the three wretched realms and opening the doors of the three liberations. The donor attains merit, and the recipient attains security. Whoever eats this food will have complete precepts and whole merit; may this food transform into Dharma medicine and may all be liberated."
