一時佛在祇樹給孤窮精舍。佛告阿難：「汝受持此大七寶陀羅尼呪。」爾時世尊即便說之：

At one time the Buddha was at the Jetavana monastery in Anāthapiṇḍada's park. The Buddha addressed Ānanda: 'Accept and uphold this Great Seven Jewels dhāraṇī-mantra.' Then the World-Honored One spoke it at once:
