「此陀羅尼為受持讀誦者作護。若有鬼食人精氣、若損人資產耗人財物，如是一切眾怖怨等，悉為結界。今為某國某甲合家無量作大擁護，今當重說防諸惡鬼。」即說呪曰：

"This dhāraṇī provides protection for those who uphold, read, and recite it. If any ghost eats human vitality, or destroys human property and depletes human wealth, against all such terrors, enemies, and the like, a boundary is marked off. Now, for so-and-so of such-and-such a country and his entire family, immeasurable great protection is established; I shall now recite it again to guard against all evil spirits." He then recited the mantra, saying:
