These dhāraṇī phrases were spoken by past Buddhas equal in number to the sands of forty koṭis of Gaṅgā rivers; I have now spoken them. By the power of this dhāraṇī, the worlds of ten Buddhas can be shaken in six ways. When the light of the Dharma sound of this dhāraṇī enters the pores of all sentient beings within them, their accumulations of defilements and impurities are entirely eliminated. By my, Mahāsthāmaprāpta's, transcendent spiritual power, and by the transcendent spiritual power of this dhāraṇī, after these sentient beings' lives come to an end, they will all attain rebirth in the Tuṣita Heaven and behold Maitreya face to face. If practitioners wish to seek liberation but are obstructed by karmic obscurations, falling into indolence and laziness and failing to be diligent in the three modes of action, I will then use the fire of wisdom and the water of samādhi to burn away and cleanse the karmic defilements that obstruct the path, causing them to awaken and inspiring all of them to give rise to the bodhi mind. If there are practitioners whose four great elements are discordant and who suffer from diseases that afflict their bodies, should there be one able to read and recite this dhāraṇī, I will then go to that person's place together with the eight classes of ghosts and spirits and the Four Great Heavenly Kings, and immediately bestow agada medicine and the wish-fulfilling jewel so that they lack nothing. Through my spiritual power and the power of the dhāraṇī, these good men and good women will redouble their diligence, and having become diligent, they will immediately attain the great fruit.
