對問經，有三事應問、三事不應問：一者人身安隱應問；二者人歡喜時應問；三者人自說經，隨時因緣應問。人身不安隱不應問；若不歡喜不應問；人說他事不應問。

Regarding questions about sūtras, there are three circumstances when one should ask, and three when one should not: first, when the person is at ease in body, one should ask; second, when the person is joyful, one should ask; third, when the person expounds the sūtra themselves, one should ask according to the occasion and causes. When the person is not at ease in body, one should not ask; if they are not joyful, one should not ask; when the person is talking about other matters, one should not ask.
