1.38

問：「久遠故寺都無垣障，不知佛地近遠。若欲作者，云何得知齊畔？」答：「不知當以意作齊畔。以不知故增損，無罪。」

It was asked, "At an ancient monastery with no walls or enclosures at all, the extent of the Buddha ground is unknown. If one wishes to carry out construction, how can one determine the boundaries?" It was answered, "If unknown, one should establish the boundaries according to intention. Because of not knowing, adding or reducing incurs no offence."
