1.42

「復次即十觀心所觀法者，一、為自得一切種智故。所謂四正法：善法未生方便令生、善法已生方便令增廣、惡法未生方便令不生、惡法已生方便令斷。菩薩爾時為求佛果故。

"Furthermore, regarding the phenomena contemplated by the ten minds of contemplation: first is to attain all-modes knowledge for oneself, that is to say, the four right efforts: using expedient means to cause unarisen wholesome dharmas to arise; using expedient means to cause arisen wholesome dharmas to increase and broaden; using expedient means to cause unarisen unwholesome dharmas not to arise; and using expedient means to cause arisen unwholesome dharmas to be severed. At that time, the bodhisattva acts for the sake of seeking the Buddha's fruition.
