「佛子！九為於一念中照一切法故。所謂三世十二因緣：過去二，無明、諸行。現在，識、名色、六處、觸、受、愛、取、有。未來，生滅。皆假合會成，性實不可得故。

"Buddha-son! Ninth is to illuminate all phenomena in a single thought, that is to say, the twelve links of dependent origination across the three times: two in the past, namely ignorance and formations; the present, namely consciousness, name-and-form, the six sense bases, contact, feeling, craving, grasping, and existence; and the future, namely birth and destruction. They are all formed through provisional integration, because their true nature cannot be apprehended.
