偈云已脫縛著處福田者，謂迦葉所集八萬四千眾皆得俱解脫，以滅盡定能使眾生現世脫苦、後獲涅槃，故曰處福田也。

The verse says: "Having escaped bondage and attachment, they abide as fields of merit"—this means that the eighty-four thousand assembled by Kāśyapa all attained ubhayatobhāgavimukta status, and through the nirodhasamāpatti they could cause living beings to escape suffering in this life and later attain nirvāṇa; hence it is said, "abide as fields of merit."
