前十念，佛自說，未有問者故不解。後十念，比丘問，佛更為演說，一一析解。
The first ten recollections were spoken by the Buddha himself, and because no one had questioned him, they were not explained. Regarding the latter ten recollections, the monks asked, and the Buddha further expounded them, analyzing and explaining each one.
