3.57

佛告阿難：「父母、眾僧是一切眾生種二福田，所謂人天、泥洹、解脫妙果，因之得成。」

The Buddha told Ānanda: “Parents and the saṃgha are the two fields of merit that all sentient beings plant; the wondrous fruits—namely humans, devas, nirvāṇa, and liberation—are achieved by depending on them.”
