答曰：「有，八齋戒是。以是義推，若受八齋，不在七眾也。受八齋法，應言一日一夜不殺生，令言語決絕。莫使與終身戒相亂也。」

[The Buddha] replied: "There are; the eightfold observance precepts are they. Deducing from this principle, if one receives the eightfold observance, one does not belong to the seven assemblies. In the method of receiving the eightfold observance, one should say, 'For one day and one night I will not take life,' making the words decisive. Do not let them be confused with the lifelong precepts."
