2.16

'Just as when I am oppressed by kings, thieves, water, fire, or government officials, whether bound or imprisoned, and bitter grief arises in my heart; if there is a wise person who sees me encountering such multiple sufferings and hardships, and comes to my place, consoling me with kind words and saying: "Do not grieve or suffer. For your sake, I shall plead before the king or the ministers, or provide wealth and bribes, or devise other upāyas to liberate you and leave you without ruin or distress"; upon hearing these words, my heart is filled with joy.'
