"Then the messenger bowed his head to the brāhmaṇa's feet and reported: 'Great master! The great wheel-turning king wishes to honor you with a summons. May the great master deign to lower his spiritual virtue and go to the wheel-turning king's place.' The wheel-turning king went out afar to welcome him, bowed his head to his feet, inquired after his well-being, [asking]: 'Braving the journey and traveling the road, are you not fatigued?' He then invited him into the palace, arranged the king's royal seat in the main hall, and stepped forward to invite the great master: 'Would you be willing to sit on this seat?' The brāhmaṇa then ascended the wondrous seat and sat cross-legged.
