Then the Tathāgata instructed, encouraged, benefited, and gladdened the five hundred men, preaching various teachings to them. When the five hundred men heard the Dharma, they rejoiced, their bodily sores were healed, and their blood turned back into milk. Thereupon they generated the aspiration for anuttarasamyaksaṃbodhi, and spoke a verse together in one voice:
