In the second incalculable kalpa, he served seventy-six thousand buddhas, the last of whom was named Dīpaṃkara. In the third incalculable kalpa, he served seventy-seven thousand buddhas, the last of whom was named Vipaśyin. Regarding the six perfections: with a mind of great compassion, he gave away all material goods to sentient beings. When he was Prince Viśvantara, the perfection of giving was ultimately completed; not yet free from desire, when his limbs were severed his mind felt not the slightest anger. When he was the Rṣi Kṣāntivādin, the two practices of patience and morality were ultimately completed. When he was the son of a brāhmaṇa, gazing at Tiṣya Buddha dwelling in the fire-element samādhi, he forgot to lower one foot for seven days and nights, circumambulating and praising him:
