2.22

斷者有二，一斷煩惱障、二斷所知障。斷煩惱障者，謂對治貪等根本煩惱及隨煩惱，令斷滅故。二斷所知障，謂對治能障境時自性無知之法，令斷滅故。

Regarding abandonment, there are two: first, abandoning the affliction obstacle; second, abandoning the cognitive obstacle. Abandoning the affliction obstacle refers to applying the antidotes against the root afflictions such as greed and the secondary afflictions, causing them to be eradicated. Second, abandoning the cognitive obstacle refers to applying the antidote against the state of intrinsic ignorance that obstructs cognitive objects, causing it to be eradicated.
