經曰：又以貪等調伏世間普遍恒時，乃至諸有皆令清淨自然調伏。
The sūtra says: "Furthermore, by means of desire and the like, [the bodhisattva] tames the world universally and perpetually, to the extent that all modes of existence are caused to be purified and naturally tamed."
