The Commentary says: This second passage on the adamantine dharma gate of the Tathāgata's wisdom-seal reveals the attainment of the fruit of one's own essence by means of two practices. The text has three sections, all like the previous explanation. This is the first, marking the title of the dharma gate spoken: by means of the wondrous wisdom-seal, it upholds all the profound Dharmas of the Buddhas. Because the intrinsic nature of the profound Dharmas of the Buddhas is difficult to know, it is called 'secret'. Because it upholds all Buddhadharmas with a single wisdom-seal, and all Buddhadharmas enter into this, it is called 'maintaining'. Now, this Dharma is expounded so that they may diligently enter into it; hence it is called a 'gate'. Because the nature of this wisdom is solid and capable of destroying all cyclic existence, it is called 'adamantine'.
