1.107

述曰，此第一心也。涅槃有四，一、自性清淨，謂在纏名如來藏。二、有餘依，謂生死因盡。三、無餘依，謂生死果盡。四、無住處，謂大悲、般若二行親證。或加方便淨涅槃為五。謂菩薩作是意樂，無邊眾生皆欲具得無餘涅槃，故名第一心也。

The commentary states: This is the supreme mind. There are four kinds of nirvāṇa: 1. Nirvāṇa pure by nature, which refers to the tathāgatagarbha when in the midst of defilements. 2. Nirvāṇa with remainder, where the causes of saṃsāra are exhausted. 3. Nirvāṇa without remainder, where the fruits of saṃsāra are exhausted. 4. Non-abiding nirvāṇa, directly realized through the two practices of great compassion and prajñā. Or, with the addition of nirvāṇa purified by expedients, there are five. The bodhisattva produces such an inclination: wishing that boundless sentient beings all fully attain nirvāṇa without remainder; therefore, it is called the supreme mind.
