─本經新翻，未容潤飾，故此疏就什譯以解之，蓋以其譯在初流傳最廣耳。然有什本所闕一二，以餘本補之者，今圈其右方而注之於格上。

—When this scripture was newly translated [by Xuanzang], it had not yet undergone stylistic polishing; thus this commentary explains it following Kumārajīva's translation, presumably because his translation was the earliest and most widely circulated. However, where there were one or two lacunae in Kumārajīva's text and they were supplemented from other versions, I have now circled them on the right side and noted them in the upper margin.
