1.195

述曰，更釋受、持福勝之意也。謂以無分別智契證真理，理智圓明，名為佛、法。此唯十方諸佛同得，名為佛、法；餘人不得，故即非佛、法。又初一法唯佛自解，餘人不解，名非佛、法。此第一法，即以受、持此經及為他說為因，故說此二福德勝也。上來世親釋竟。

The commentary states: This further explains the meaning of the superiority of the merit of receiving and upholding. It means that verifying and realising the true principle through non-conceptual wisdom, with principle and wisdom fully luminous, is called 'Buddha phenomena'. This is attained in common only by the Buddhas of the ten directions, hence called 'Buddha phenomena'; other people do not attain it, and therefore they are 'not Buddha phenomena'. Furthermore, the first phenomenon is understood by the Buddha alone and not understood by others, hence called 'not Buddha phenomena'. This supreme phenomenon precisely takes receiving and upholding this sūtra and explaining it for others as its cause, which is why it is said that the merit of these two is superior. The above completes Vasubandhu's explanation.
