1.199

流有二種，一者、生死流，二者、出世流類。若望生死即是逆流，若望出世便是預流也。

There are two kinds of streams: first, the stream of saṃsāra; second, the stream-category of world-transcendence. Looking toward saṃsāra, it is going against the stream; looking toward world-transcendence, it is entering the stream.
