述曰，依世親此第二復次釋所以也。謂諸煩惱如山如石，而有金剛能破；或煩惱如金剛，般若能除斷故；或如彩畫之金剛。廣如無著釋，謂由有此種種堪能，故受、持般若功德勝多財施也。於中，初、善現問，次、如來答，此初也。

The commentary states: According to Vasubandhu, this is the second occurrence of "furthermore," explaining the reason. Namely, the defilements are like mountains and rocks, and there is a vajra that can destroy them; or, the defilements are like vajra, and prajñā is able to cut them off; or it is like a vajra of multicolored painting. As expounded in Asaṅga's commentary, it means that because it possesses such varied capacities, the merit of receiving and upholding prajñā surpasses abundant material giving. Within this, first Subhūti asks, and next the Tathāgata answers; this is the first.
