然無著菩薩說成立七種義句已，此般若波羅蜜即得成立，謂種姓不斷等。此七之初三科判此經，總有三段；後四彰此經中所有之義，非別判文也。三段文者：一、善現讚嘆名為種姓不斷；二、善現發請名為發起行相，發問修行之相故；三者、如來印答，訖至「應作如是觀」名行所住處，謂依佛所說此一部義以行其行，即是行所住處也。

Now, the Bodhisattva Asaṅga stated that when seven kinds of semantic topics are established, this prajñāpāramitā is then established, namely, the lineage being uninterrupted, and so on. The first three of these seven classify this sūtra into three sections in total; the latter four illuminate the meanings contained within this sūtra and do not separately classify the text. The three textual sections are: first, Subhūti's praise is called "the lineage being uninterrupted"; second, Subhūti's request is called "giving rise to the marks of practice", because it raises questions about the marks of cultivating practice; third, the Tathāgata's endorsement and reply up to "one should view it thus" is called "the dwelling places of practice", meaning that practicing one's practice by relying on the meaning of this one entire scripture is precisely the dwelling places of practice.
